This is the long-form version of the story most people never hear. Written in chapters, in order, from a football bag in Lagos to an academy in Ikorodu — and the years that are still ahead.
The Dream
I arrived in Lagos at nineteen with a football bag and a plan I had rehearsed in my head a thousand times. I would train, I would be seen, I would sign, I would play.
The dream was specific. Play professionally. Get to China. Retire early. Put my family's name somewhere it had never been placed before — on the map, through football.
It is the kind of dream you protect from other people. You do not explain it. You just move.
I did not come to Lagos to try. I came to Lagos to arrive.
Before BlueWhale Sports Academy, I spent years teaching sales, marketing, business growth and entrepreneurship.
Those lessons shaped the way I think, build and lead today.

Survival
Football does not pay while you are chasing it. Rent does. Transport does. Boots do.
So I built online businesses to sustain the dream. I taught myself marketing, sales, and the quiet discipline of entrepreneurship — one late night, one small win, one loss at a time.
I refused to beg. I refused to depend. If the dream was mine, the cost of chasing it had to be mine too.
Independence was not a value. It was the only way the dream stayed alive.
The Transition
Life took a turn. God took a turn. The road bent in a direction I had not drawn on the map.
The one constant, through every version of me, was football. So I stopped asking football to make me a player, and started asking what I could build inside it.
The shift was quiet. There was no announcement. Just a decision to keep showing up, differently.
The Birth of BlueWhale
On 23 September 2024, I founded BlueWhale Sports Academy. It is also my birthday. That was not an accident.
I wanted the academy to carry the weight of a personal covenant, not the lightness of a business plan.
From day one, BlueWhale was less a company and more a mission — a place where the girls I could not have been as a kid would get the chance I did not.

The First Wins
In the first year, BlueWhale helped three players sign their first professional football contracts.
Two of them were fourteen and eighteen years old. Both signed the papers with hands that were still learning how to hold a pen the right way.
That is what the first year taught me: the wins that matter are not yours. They are the ones you helped make possible.
The Philosophy
The academy runs on a small set of ideas that I try not to compromise on.
- Show. Don't tell.
- If something should exist, build it.
- BlueWhale is simply me playing football through every player.
- Every player represents a dream I once carried myself.
The Future
By 2040, CourageVibez aims to be one of Africa's defining builders in women's football and institution-building.
The goal was never to build players alone. It is to build systems, pathways, and institutions that outlive the people who started them.
If it works, someone will still be walking through the BlueWhale gates on a Tuesday morning long after my name has faded from the founder line.
